"BULLY" Movie review by Brian Jasik
If the sign of a good movie is one that causes an emotional reaction based on situations in the storyline or an emotional response to something that happens to a character in the story, then the movie Bully, gets an “A+."
I guess you could say this movie has it all. From the frustration you feel toward the administration of Alex’s school, to identifying with emotions Alex and the others are going through as they are victimized. To putting yourself in the shoes of a parent who’s lost their child to bullying. This movie does what it has set out to do. If it was set out to make a difference, it does that, “awareness.”
This movie is a reality check, (or should be), to the young people who bully others. If it causes an emotional response to a bully out there then that’s a good sign.Go with that feeling it’s a good start, and build from it, to make a change in yourself.
If you see this movie and feel nothing, then you may want to backtrack to see where you last left your soul.
Bully is a movie everyone should see, and I give it five out of five stars.
Ryan Katzenbach comes on DominionLive Radio- Chicago for the annual Halloween show and he talks candidly about the making of the Shattered Hopes documentaries.
Also Ryan shares a more rare personal look at how the making of these films has affected his life personally, and how he will when said and done be moving forward, with his head held high, and a unique experience behind him.
Yes, Ryan shares details about the release of part two of the documentary and even details of part 3. We also get an update on the possible whereabouts of the gun that he and his diving team found in the Amityville canal over or close to a year ago..
